A ceremonial opening of a new project for the restoration and innovative development of the Kharkiv Polytechnic – “Starry sky of KhPI” was held at NTU “KhPI”. Its main “stars” became the creators of the university: outstanding scientists, teachers, public figures, and the continuation – the virtual space of the thematic site. Today, everyone can become a participant in the project and light their star in the “Starry Sky of KhPI” by transferring funds to support the university. “Skyline” of Kharkiv Polytechnic is located on the wall of the Scientific and Technical Library and the interactive map of the Internet space. The guests of the event were the representatives of the Supervisory Board of KhPI NTU, who gathered for the meeting that day. The event was dedicated to the World Science Day for Peace and Development, which is celebrated on November 10.
“Starry sky of KhPI” is a very important project for our university, – said at the opening ceremony the Rector of NTU “KhPI” Professor Yevhen Sokol. – One of its strategic goals: is to allow future generations of polytechnics to learn about those who wrote their names in the “golden pages” of KhPI. Each institute in our “sky” is represented by its constellation, the main stars of which are distinguished scientists and teachers – creators of the almost 140-year history of Kharkiv Polytechnic. The second important goal of the project is its continuity. We continue to develop and restore the university, which suffered significant destruction due to Russian aggression. And, despite the difficult wartime, today everyone who cares about the fate of KhPI can make their contribution and light their star in the starry sky of KhPI.” “Life goes on, and we need to build Ukraine. I will not leave the country. I am sure that we need to return our people. It is necessary to prepare to implement the latest modern technologies for the powerful development of the university”, said the chairman of the Supervisory Board of NTU “KhPI” and the first vice-president of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Vasyl Khmelnytskyi.
Rector of Kharkiv Polytechnic Yevhen Sokol and Chairman of the Supervisory Board Vasyl Khmelnytskyi cut the ribbons, launching a new project for the restoration and development of Kharkiv Polytechnic “Starry Sky of KhPI“.
